This collection it was all about the Amy Winehouse look with winged eyeliner and big bouffant hair and the collection itself was very Amy! The flamboyant French couturier, famous for being one of the first to riff on the idea of innerwear as outerwear, lost no opportunity to open a peep show window. But it was done with such ineffable grace that vulgarity did not enter the picture. Both Gaultier and Winehouse embody every quality that makes a truly great artist. Fantastically imaginative, consistently innovative, and an attitude that simply, just doesn’t give a Fuck.
For his 2nd couture collection Valli played with old school couture techniques while applying them to contemporary looks. With couture style silhouttes used to construct cocktail dresses with modern layering all made up a collection wich will no doubt be a highlight of this couture season.Airy chiffon dresses, seductive lace panelling and organza skirts...and a bit of drama too...that's couture baby.
